JUMP THE GATE is an Atlanta based production company founded in 2023 by Peyton Leopold, Stefania Somma, and Sarah Forest.
We are a group of young filmmakers with new perspectives and unique stories. From conceptualization to the final cut in post-production, JUMP THE GATE handles all aspects of the process. Over the recent months, we have been heavily focused on creating music videos in the Atlanta area, as well as developing feature length scripts with the intention of shooting under a low budget independent style.
Peyton is a filmmaker from Northern Virginia. She's studied narrative filmmaking at University of North Carolina School of the Arts and just recently graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Film. She has directed several indie coming of age short films, and more recently has taken on the role of cinematographer for music videos for local artists.

Sarah is a queer filmmaker hailing from Florida’s Suncoast who has a fascination for all things weird and wonderful with a particular focus in LGBTQ+ and female-driven narratives.
Sarah graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in May 2023 with a BFA in Film and minors in Creative Writing and Film Studies.
Stef is a Filmmaker from New England based in Atlanta. She found her love for filmmaking from a young age making short films with her friends. Throughout High School she was always seen with a camera or editing. In 2019 she began attending Ringling College of Art and Design where she found her passion for the Art Department.
Darci is an Australian Film Producer/First Assistant Director. Having worked on short films, music videos and most recently a feature film she understands and is experienced in all film forms and processes. She thoroughly enjoys working and collaborating with her other crew members to help bring the writers vision to life.
Nicolas is a Colombian filmmaker with a passion for story and the desire to find new narratives everywhere. He graduated Ringling College in 2023 and focuses on post-production. Aside from filmmaking, he likes fashion and traveling.
Maya is an Illustrator and Graphic Designer from Pittsburgh, PA and currently based in Atlanta, GA where she freelances on various projects. She is responsible for logos, merchandise, and video graphics for Jump the Gate LLC.
